A popular service offered by Commercial Lighting is our LED Retrofit offer, in which we convert any older light fitting to the latest LED techonology. Not only does this save the client the cost of a complete replacement and in some cases save unique luminaires of sentimental value, it also underlines our strong enviromental commitment to recycling and cutting down on waste whilst improving energy efficiency.
A testament to the incredibly high build quality of their products, Meyer's precision-made luminaires last a lifetime, giving clients total piece of mind when specifying Meyer for their lighting schemes. Even more attractive is Commercial Lighting's Meyer Retrofit offer, where we guarantee all Meyer's products with full upgradeability options, meaning any previously purchased Meyer Exterior Lighting products can be updated to the latest techonology right here in our Southampton factory. This not only saves our clients money and unneccesary waste from buying new products, this upgradeability feature means any older product can compete on both lighting quality and energy efficiency with the newest lighting products on the market.
Our most popular Meyer Retrofit product is Meyer's iconic Superlight Compact. Bringing the traditional 8862 and 8868 products totally in line with the latest LED technology, Commercial Lighting updates to the high performance LES15 and LES17 LED modules from Philips/ Tridonic in conjuction with the most efficient high output drivers for optimum performance and longevity. Existing 70W & 150W HID fittings can be converted at around half the cost of a new fitting (contact us for details).
Part of our work in this Grade 1 listed church with Graham Festenstein was to convert the building's existing chandeliers to the latest LED technology, maintaining their authentic character while providing better illumination and heavily reducing energy consumption. (Full project info here.)
The client was keen to preserve the style of the original lighting fixtures, which are believed to have been specially designed for the project in the 1960's, so Commercial Lighting seized the opportunity to offer to completely refurbish the fittings and convert them to the latest LED technology. The main lighting is provided by a number of multi-light pendant luminaires, complemented by large square recessed units around the perimeter.
